This time also due to the orders of the forest department, Ranthambore National Park will be completely closed between Zone No. 1 to 5 because during the rainy season, the walking paths and tracks get completely damaged, and the lives of domestic and foreign tourists may be in danger. In such a situation, the Ranthambore National Park and Sariska Tiger Reserve closed for 3 months yearly.
Due to the closure of tourism activities in the main area of the Tiger Reserve, surveillance also has to be increased so that there are no incidents of complaints against any animal. During monsoon Ranthambore Zones 1 to 5 and Sariska Zone 12 remain closed in Sariska. There are 12 Livari Sadar routes in Sariska and the route to Pandupul remains open.
Rajasthan Takes Action to Protect Tigers
The core areas of the Tiger Reserve will remain closed. Special security arrangements have been made for monitoring tigers in Rajasthan. Night patrolling will be done here through jeeps. Efforts will be made to save tigers from poachers. If the current situation in Rajasthan is seen, Sariska has the highest number of cubs.
Ranthambore National Park has done a complete review of the entire wildlife and found that they need more attention so that there is continuity in daily monitoring. From now on, all the CCS and DCS in Ranthambore National have been instructed to send a daily report.
Rajasthan Tiger Reserves: Limited Access During Monsoon
Ranthambore’s buffer zone will remain open from zone 6 to 10. In Sariska, the Bara Liwari Sadar route and the route up to Pandupol will remain open. There are 75 tigers in Ranthambore, 43 in Sariska, 3 in Dholpur, 4 in Keladevi, and 4 in Ramgarh. There are currently 4 tiger reserves in the state, including Ranthambore in Swaimadhopur, Sariska in Alwar, Mukundra in Kota, and Ramgarh Vishdhari Wildlife Sanctuary in Bundi.
Ranthambore Due to poor tiger introduction this year, The number of new cubs is less. Most of the tigers who have cubs at present are older than 10 months. The monsoon this year is very important for Sariska, spread over an area of 1216 sq. km, which is known for its tigers, panthers, and other animals. At present, Sariska has 43 tigers, tigresses, and their cubs.
When will Ranthambore National Park and Sariska Open
Tigers tourism will be back on track in the state from 1st October 2024. The wildlife tour will start with this and during this period, the next three months are like an ordeal for the forest department, in which all the field officers have been instructed to stay separately. Ranthambore, due to poor tiger reintroduction this year, the number of new cubs is lower. Most of the tigers who have cubs at present are older than ten months. The monsoon of the same year is very bad for Sarislka.
