Safari Types in Ranthambore National Park

Ranthambore National Park offers two main types of safaris: Jeep Safari and Canter Safari, both providing distinct experiences to explore the park’s rich wildlife.

Jeep Safari: This safari is conducted in a 6-seater open-top Jeep, offering a more personalized and intimate experience. Due to its smaller size, the Jeep can maneuver through narrow paths, increasing the chances of spotting elusive animals like tigers, leopards, and sloth bears. Jeep safaris are ideal for wildlife photographers and small groups or families looking for a close-up view of the park’s flora and fauna.

Canter Safari: The Canter is a 20-seater open bus that provides a shared experience for larger groups. Canter safaris are slightly more economical than Jeep safaris and are ideal for tourists who prefer a group experience. While it may not access narrower trails, it covers the park’s major areas, ensuring visitors witness the scenic beauty and diverse wildlife.

Both safari types operate in two shifts—morning and evening—and are guided by experienced naturalists. Booking in advance is recommended, especially during peak seasons, to ensure availability and avoid missing out on this thrilling wildlife adventure.
